sunset @ Hoe down

we had the perfect spot on the front porch of the Humboldt Hills Hoe Down - amazing food & music. 

we decided to veto our tent & use theirs... i always love it when we get to hang our lights ;) the only thing we thought was missing was our hammocks!!! 

Moby Dick

ode to the sea... whales, ships & YES YES YES narwals!!!! One of two inspired by the sea designs... he last 2 times we went to collect driftwood we have had the amazing pleasure of seeing pods of whales breaching. truely amazing.. i should probably post the video ;) but i was so excited I am rambling throughout the entire video :) I sound a lot like the double rainbow guy, im not ashamed to admit it - well maybe a little bit!!

hott off the press (literally just walked outside & placed the dress on lilly).... gearing up for the north country fair with some magnolia branch dresses. this dress is a super soft sleeveless dress with POCKETS!!! The same design will be featured on out long sleeve cowl neck dresses too!!! Fingers crossed we do well tomorrow!!!

California Love...

anyone that knows me knows that I am a complete nerd ;) while looking in the library for some source material I came across this great reference book just giving basic knowledge about the state... it is quite the impressive state I figure I would put some of the information I learned that day out there. 

The shirt on the left is basically the geomophic layout of the state (ie mountain, dessert) the one on the right is the paths the Mountain Men took whilst pioneering the state. Which is fun bc the parks are names after these blokes!! I totally have played in the Jedediah Smith park.

hopefully we will get down to monterey aquarium for the jellyfish exhibit!!

Cowl Hood

inspired by my love of nyc in the winter... here is a cowl neck scarf that is long enough to turn into a hood on the windiest of days ;) fyi color of scarf is various shades of earthy green & nina did not roll around in our glow in the dark ink it was just a sunny day in humboldt ;)

New Logo :)

hopefully by the holidays this year we will be a more polished brand & really create  boutique feel when you visit us at festivals... we also have been approached by some amazing stores to start carrying some of our little creative endeavors so we wanted to come up with a new logo & look to include in these stores.

here it is we hope you like it!

It took 3 days of back & forth between box + i! See creatively we are pretty much opposites, that way when we agree on something we pretty much know its gonna be good :)

another little garden around the house made form hanging some of our fun macrame'd pieces of driftwood.... its so much fun to add little bits of greenery to drab little corners in the house. my favorite is the little one second from the last. the triangle one. it is the only one like this we currently have.... plus the knot used to start the whole thing is a good luck knot. that is what holds up the plant ;) so get this & get good luck all day!!

Amazing pieces of driftwood found on California's Northern coast, each piece is carefully selected (we are not shy & re-reject numerous pieces before finding pieces we love). All the pieces mother nature has hollowed out for a plant to sit in.


When we are not at festivals I like to display them around the house... i love the little hanging gardens ;)

this weekend we are part of Humboldt Made Fair at the Redwood Acres Fair :) This is was our first booth inside a building so needless to say it was stime to get creative with our display a little.... we added a fun & color. I cant just order a banner, wanted to create something fun - had a book of color card stock = great new sign. Anyone that visited Klam'mock (my porch full of hammocks in klamath) knows i have a love for Venice beach & those street lights.... so I decided N-O needed some too!!!

The festivals was so great & we met so many amazing people :)
